Biolimpid
Biological sedimentation

Biolimpid a product that effectively reduces siltation in bodies of water.
Through targeted bacterial action deep within the sediment, it promotes the natural breakdown of accumulated organic matter and restores the biological function of the bottom.

Ideal for heavily silted ponds, water features, and bodies of water that are out of balance.

The 5 Key Benefits
by Biolimpid

  • Targeted action deep within the sediment
Biolimpid directly on the sediment by stimulating the activity of the aerobic bacteria responsible for breaking down organic matter in the sediment.
  • Reduction of odors and harmful gases
The treatment limits the development of anaerobic bacteria responsible for hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) emissions, which are often the cause of bad odors.
  • Rapid-Sinking Granule Formula
Its dense micro-carbonate base allows the granules to sink immediately and effectively reach the bottom of the water, where action is needed.
  • Gradual and long-lasting biological effectiveness
The breakdown of organic matter gradually reduces the thickness of the mud and improves oxygen circulation in the sediments.
  • French manufacturing and controlled strains
Biolimpid is formulated from selected, controlled, and traceable bacterial strains, ensuring reliability and consistency of results.

Bioremediation to Combat Siltation

Siltation is a direct consequence of eutrophication: the body of water can no longer break down organic matter, which accumulates in compact, anaerobic layers.

The Biolimpid process Biolimpid of four phases:

  1. Colonization
The pellets quickly settle to the bottom of the water body and release non-pathogenic lactic acid bacteria into the sediment.
  2. Fragmentation
Microorganisms break down the organic chains responsible for the cohesion of the sludge.
  3. Biological degradation
Bacteria metabolize sedimented organic matter, causing a gradual decrease in its volume and consistency.
  4. Oxygenation
The sediment structure opens up again, promoting oxygen circulation and recolonization by benthic fauna
