Bioremediation to Combat Siltation
We are restoring the body of water’s natural ability to mineralize its sediments under optimal conditions.
Coccolithal chalk, specialized bacteria, and bottom aeration liquefy the silt, disperse gases, and restore balance to the bottom of water bodies by removing organic matter from the silt, thereby reducing sediment volume and increasing the available water volume.
Ultrasound for Algae Control
TASO has been using ultrasonic treatment for 17 years. This proven technology is completely harmless to humans, fish, and all other aquatic life, with the exception of algae and cyanobacteria. Under the effect of ultrasonic vibrations, algae lose their ability to float and remain suspended. They sink to the bottom of the body of water or pond, unable to absorb sunlight.
Blocking UV light for invasive plants
We block photosynthesis using an aquatic dye that filters out UV rays, preventing algae from absorbing light and thus growing. The plant stops growing and then naturally dies back, without the need for mowing or cutting.
