    What you see

Your energy bill is going up even though your usage remains steady. The signs come directly from your pumping equipment:

    • Overheating pumps: Your motors are running abnormally hot, a sign that they are constantly working too hard. Thermal circuit breakers frequently trip.
    • Reduced flow rate: It takes longer than before to fill a tank or water an area. The pump has to run longer to achieve the same result.
    • Unstable pressure: Despite a powerful pump, the outlet pressure (at the sprinkler or nozzle) is low. It seems as though energy is being "wasted" along the way.

    What this means

If your pumps are in good working order, the problem lies within your pipes. Water isn’t flowing properly due to biological resistance. TASO identifies two major factors that are wasting your electricity:

    1. The “Handbrake” Effect (Biofilm): Inside your pipes, a slimy layer of bacteria (biofilm) forms. Even when thin (less than a millimeter), it acts as a rough coating that slows down the water flow.
The consequence: To overcome this friction, the pump must draw more amperage. A biologically clogged system leads to immediate overconsumption.
    2. The “Clogging” Effect: Algae and suspended solids clog your filters and strainers.
The result: The pump is pushing against a wall. It operates under constant strain as it tries to force water through the clog. You’re paying for electricity to force the water through, not to move it.

    Why act now?

Allowing a facility to "run wild" has serious financial and physical consequences:

    • Direct financial losses: Over the course of an irrigation season or an industrial process, this amounts to thousands of euros in electricity wasted unnecessarily.
    • Pump failure: A pump that is constantly operating outside its optimal operating range will wear out prematurely (bearings, seals) and eventually burn out.
    • Carbon Footprint: This unnecessary overconsumption reduces your energy efficiency and increases your carbon footprint.

    TASO's response
Relieving the pumps by flushing the system

Allowing a facility to "run wild" has serious financial and physical consequences:

    1

    Elimination of Friction (Ultrasonic Technology)

This is the most effective solution for “smoothing” the inside of pipes without chemicals.
How it works: Our ultrasonic emitters prevent biofilm from adhering to the pipe walls.
The benefit: Pipes stay as smooth as the day they were installed. Water flows effortlessly, the pump works less hard, and amperage (and your bill) drop immediately.

    2

    Breakdown of clogs (Biological Action)

We clean filters and hard-to-reach areas using biological agents.
How it works: Biolimpid bacteria that break down the grease and organic matter clogging the system.
The benefit: The “clog” is cleared. Water flow becomes smooth again, and pressure naturally rises without increasing the pump’s power.
